Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives

You are now living in the soil of a friendly country

Therefore rest in peace.

There is no difference between the Johnnies

And the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side

Here in this country or ours.

You, the mothers, who sent your sons from faraway countries...

Wipe away your tears.

Your son are now lying in our bosom,

And are in peace

After having lost their lives on this land, they have

Become our sons as well.

Kemel Atartuk是一战期间，加里波利（Gallipoli）战役，

土耳其军第19师师长。

同时，也是现代土耳其的国父，推动土耳其现代化的代表人物。

土耳其共和国成立后，出任第1任总统。

以上的碑文是纪念在加里波利战役中阵亡的澳纽联军（ANZAC）战士。

该纪念碑矗立在ANZAC Cove这个小海湾附近。

这个小海湾是加里波利战役中，澳纽联军登陆和驻扎的地方，因而得名。
